Subjects Taught

I graduated from Western Governors University in Utah in 2013 with my B.A. in Elementary Education (Interdisciplinary Studies). My student teaching was completed at Calvin Donaldson Environmental Science Academy. I am a proud product of Tullahoma High School in Tullahoma, TN.

This is my third year teaching at East Side. The first two years were spent in 1st grade. This year I'm on a new adventure in 2nd with the coolest kids in Hamilton County. Prior to teaching at East Side, I worked as a pre-k CDC assistant at Brown International Academy for three years. I have also worked with at-risk middle school students in after-school and summer programs in both Chattanooga and my hometown, Tullahoma, TN. In high school and early college, I worked with elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, math, and study skills at Sylvan Learning Center.

I love reading picture books, mysteries, poetry, and inspirational education books. I have one cat named Bronson. I love exploring Chattanooga and spending time with friends and family. My mom, an elementary school principal, is my hero.
