Pre-Kindergarten Programs

Hamilton County Department of Education operates 44 Pre-K classrooms in 26 different locations, which includes schools and community based sites. The program is funded through the federal and state funds is designed to give students the proper foundation for Kindergarten.

The program is open to those Hamilton County residents who meet federal or state guidelines. Students must be 4 years old by 8/15/2024 and meet household income requirements to qualify for the program.

We will let families know if their child has been placed in a pre k seat via email.

*The only document that is required for this application is Proof of Income. You will receive an email to let you know if your child has been selected for a seat, then you will include other documentation with online school registration.
