Hi! My Name Is...

Darcey Cavanaugh

This is my 15th year of teaching Kindergarten!  My first three years I taught in my home state of Massachusetts.  I moved here to Chattanooga and began teaching here at East Side Elementary, and it is such an amazing school to be at!  I graduated from Bay Path College in Longmeadow,  Massachusetts with a B.A in Early Childhood Education.  I absolutely love working with kinder students, and seeing that excitement for learning and school ignite in them!
When I am not teaching, I love to dance!  I have been a dancer for 30 years, and even taught dance for 10 years!  I currently dance with a troupe here in Chattanooga!  I also have three cats named Piper. Moo and Maizy.
